Temporary orbital cycleway in Darwin Green construction site.

Reinstated footpath with sealed surface. Appears to be 2m wide, in a 4.5m-ish corridor. Orbital cycleway should run in parallel with this when works are completed.

Hope Street racks have been set at 90 degrees to the carriageway, but they have an unusually generous spacing of 1.7 metres. That spacing suggests the intention may have been for 45 degrees which would allow cargo bikes to fit.

This exception for cycling is great, but the necessary changes have not yet been implemented on Hemingford Road.

  • Icon 103591 A hanger on Harmsworth Street would be great. We have no on-street parking and most residents of our building cycle (approx 8), but we have no secure parking.
  • Icon 103582 I am about to move to Dunkirk House, SE1 4BT and all of the cycle lockers in the surrounding areas are full - I have tried both Cyclehoop and Bikeaway. This suggests that there is high demand for cycle lockers in this area and that there will be many others currently on waiting lists for space. I completely rely on my bike for transport to work. I will be living on the 4th floor, so carrying my bike up and down the stairs every day will be very difficult. Please install more cycle stands, lockers and hangars!
